I get a lot of emails asking why I don’t Blog more. And I always tell people, the reason I don't blog as much as I would like is because... Wait for it.... Wait for it...... IM GAMING!!!!
Plus no one really reads these anyways. Do you? "Really...?"

Lets be realistic here, I am a "One Man Show" for PWNED RADIO. You may say, but you have Floyd and "The Posse" Yes, I do but... This is not they’re show, it's my show and I'm really the only one that is "Passion" for PWNED.. Jez, I sound like the "Quote Man" from SNL. No more quotes, I "promise"

Floyd, my producer... Does a lot for me and I really need his help. He fills a VOID left by someone we all know and miss, right? But, really doesn't have a vested interest in PWNED RADIO. I know I give him a hard time a lot On-Air but he is key to PWNED

Paul (FBI Director) Knows his Pro Gaming! And brings a great deal of knowledge to our show each week. I just need to find a great way to use Paul more on the show. I know not everyone gets Pro-Gaming but trust me.. There is a BIG interest in it! In-Fact , PWNED RADIO will be partnering with a group this summer in hunts for MICHIGANS New Pro Gaming TEAM!!!

Dan... He's my Brother In Law and a GAMER with a ton of Sound and Video know how! With his newly increased family size, tie for PWNED RADIO has been cut big time!

Lisandra - Our Gaming News Update person.. Has moved on to a new gig with TV and we wish her well! So, we do have a new spot open for our update person. If you know someone in Radio School and is female, send them my way now! It's not paid but nice resume builder!

Molly - Our Intern... She’s an Intern... Go get me some coffee! No, I’m just kidding! Molly is one of the coolest girls I know... She is so down to earth and nice.. I’m going to hate it when she leaves!

PWNED RADIO is for you! Not Me! I do this show because Michigan gamers need a show like this. I have always been a big time gamer and long time radio fan. I always thought a Gaming Radio Show would rock and for years I've tried to get it on-the-air. Now its here and I need everyone to take ownership. State of the PWNED 2008

As everyone knows, we were not On-The-Air last weekend due to a Late Tigers Game start. Now, I appreciate all the emails from last Sunday.. I really do, but you must understand, it is not the stations fault we get bumped.

97.1 FM has been so great to keep us on the air going into our 2nd year. We are very happy "They" get it! Each an every year the Video Game Industry gets bigger and bigger and I know this Video Game Show format does work!

The radio industry is rated via a rating system called Arbitron. Each quarter they release what is call a ratings book. Stations look at these numbers and decide who is doing well and who needs improvement. Well, PWNED RADIO does "OK" here for the weekend, I'd say top 20 in the Detroit Market in our time slot from 8-10pm. You maybe wondering why I'm telling you this... Well, from time to time we get emails asking us "How are we doing in the ratings?" I believe, because we have not had a "Home" time slot our numbers could be higher. NOT THE STATIONS FAULT! We are on a very successful radio station and that's the price we pay. I also think, we have a lot of Internet stream listeners and podcast followers across the country, that doesn't track very well via Arbitron.

Hopefully one day very soon, we will have a real "Home" time slot that we can call our own! I think once we stop moving around, this will really show the station, gamers deserve they're Gaming Radio!

I love our fans, they are the greatest! When I meet people out & about, they are so cool and friendly. I love being stopped and asked about PWNED RADIO! I could be at the Ice Cream shop grabbing a cone and someone hears my voice and asks... "Are you Shane from PWNED RADIO?" Our my son comes home from school, Stevenson High in Sterling Heights and tells me people in class were talking about last nights PWNED RADIO. How great is that! BUT.... I also talk to A LOT of gamers all across the Detroit area and ask them if they even know about our show. When they say "No", I scratch my head and go WOW.. The second I tell them about it, they are like "Great, I only wish I knew about it before, now I have something cool to listen too." This happens more then you think. So I was thinking how can we fix this? I'm going to tell you...

1.) I think we need EVERY ONES help! A PWNED RADIO Street team? If you want to help email me at sirrens@pwnedradio.com During the show, I will announce what street team member has done what.. Thoughts?

2.) Bring a friend! If each and everyone of you, just told a friend about us.. That would double our friends! Takes five minutes to make a podt on your myspace or clan website. Please can I get some help here? Let people know at your school or work!

3.) Get people to wear a PWNED RADIO t-shirt? I'm not a wealthy guy, but if I could I would buy each and everyone of you a PWNED shirt! 4.) PODCASTS - It drives me nuts that if you open iTunes on your computer and search PWNED RADIO. We show up there in the store! BUT, we can not get featured on iTunes. I don't know how this is picked but when I see some guy in his basement with no production and a bad show getting featured, just burns my ass! New Podcasts Up and Help Us!

That’s right; I finally posted new show podcasts from last weeks show.
I know… I know... I'm slow getting them up and people have asked me many times to post more of our past shows.

Here's the thing, I NEED to show our new intern Molly how to do this. It's just with the move to the new studio (Love it) time just has not been on my side! I promise to do this training this week, so look for new podcasts after each show!

GTA 4 & You!

Today is the day! GTA 4 hits the stores.

I don't know about you but Im going to head over to my favoraite 'Video Game Rental Store" and give it a try! I have really never been a fan of the GTA series. Which I just don't understand.. The game draws a lot of people to it, just not me. BUT...

With mulitplayer support, it now has peaked my interests and I'm hoping to be converted. I have read there will be no supported "Clan" play. Why Not? With all the delays, they could have had this ready, don't you think? Maybe, one of the "Big" surprises will be Clan/Gang support for Xbox Live!

I will update you all on this coming PWNED RADIO May 4th 8PM EST on 97.1 FM "The Ticket" Lets hope it is all its hyped to be!

Video Gamer Kills 3 While Trying To Rent New GTA4

A Michigan avid Video Gamer kills 3 while waiting for new video game to be released, GTA 4 is to be release at the end of April but man snaps in rental store when he finds out he'll have to wait a few more weeks. Video Game addiction plays key role in this shooting, states local police.

Marcus Fenix, 39, of Ruined City, Michigan, was a Skynet machines programmer who was taking the drug Synthehol to try and kick his online gaming habit, the Smallville's Daily Torch reports. I know a lot of you people are reading this with out batting an eye and probably have yet to figure out this story is a fake! Well, gotcha... Now if I would of titled the story "Local Gamers Give $4,000 to Michigan Charity", how many people would of read it? Really...?

It seems our local media feels the same way! Last week Gamers Outreach Foundation, through they're annual "Gamers for Giving" event raised over $4,000 for the Michigan Branch of The Autism Society of America. The event was a huge success, with gamers from all over Michigan and the United States converging on to Eastern Michigan Campus to pitch in and support a great charity!

We invited the guys from Gamers Outreach in studio to present the "Over sized Check" to the Autism Society local chapter Representatives, last week. We also sent out invites to all local TV Media News Stations, just in case they wanted a nice "Puff" make you feel good story for the 10 o'clock edition. I was so surprised to see how many station vans pulled up to the 97.1 studios! NOT A SINGLE ONE!

I know, before you go say " There are bigger stories to cover then some stupid Video Game Radio show looking for PR", you are correct! I to feel I can't get enough news on Kwame or Michigan gas prices or people losing the jobs and homes here in Detroit....

OK, really?..?

I just think its time video gamers, yes you.. The lady that can't put down there cell phone version of Bejeweled - the guy that comes home from a long day of work to play a few innings of MLB 2k8 before dinner - the kid that just PWNS at Call of Duty 4.. You are all gamers! So the next time the media lumps you in a group of crazy, anti social "Gamers" they mean YOU! It's time the media share more positive stories about us and start reporting the real news about the Video Game Industry, which is a hell of a lot bigger then the Glamorous Movie Industry, which we all can't even relate too!

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest! And you all that still think the story about was real? Don't you have a DVR recording of Gossip Girls to watch!
