Yes, I'm a Dumb Ass!

You heard it! I'm a dumb ass! On last weeks show, I said we would be moving to Sundays starting this coming weekend! I was wrong.. We will start doing Sunday's the following week. Feb. 10th, we start doing PWNED RADIO on Sunday Nights from 8-10PM EST. Sorry everyone for the bad dates. So, we will be on this SATURDAY Feb.2nd 5-7PM EST.
On another note, Thank you all for submitting emails about wanting to be a PWNED RADIO correspondent. The time for action is now. I need all that wanted (You know whom you are) to submit your updates. We currently have people doing, PC Hardware-Xbox 360&Live-ProGaming-Wii (Maybe)-OldSchool Gaming(Maybe)- MMO's (Maybe)
We still need PS3,DS (I think),FPS and others if you can think of a good one, just let me know. The best way to do this is submit your work to YouTube and put PWNED RADIO in title somewhere. Then send me the link. we are currently looking at doing Stickam but just don't know yet.

Jack Thompson Defends Mass Effect

Believe it or not Jack Thompson and I email sorta regularly. Granted he usually emails me bizarre, over-the-top press releases (which I often don't post) and I respond with disjointed quotes from movies, which I hope will one day remove that last wobbly hinge of his. (No luck yet).

Last week Jack emailed me a press release entitled "Grand Theft Auto IV to Be Released April 29; Culture War Begins Now" and after my typical poking, I got on to the topic of the Mass Effect controversy and was shocked, literally out of my socks, to find him defending the game... sort of. Apparently, even anti-gaming crusader Jack Thompson found self-help author Cooper Lawrence (who he refers to as a man), uninformed and the entire controversy contrived. Hellooooo kettle.

Well, the time is now here and PWNED RADIO will be back on the air this weekend!
Saturday Jan. 26th 5-7PM EST.
Thank you for all the support emails and no, we didn't get fired or cancelled. Just due to the NFL playoff coverage 97.1 carried, we had to take a back seat til they were done! Now they are done and we are back!

Like I stated on the New Years Show, PWNED RADIO is looking for Correspondents and Reviewers. The PWNED Crew, just can't get to it all and this is a show for Gamers, By Gamers! This is your show fans and we want you to be apart of our show!

Here are the correspondents we are looking for. As a Correspondent you are to submit a report either via Phone (Live On-Air), Submit Audio File (Via Email) or You Tube Video (Submit Link to your upload).
We Need: Xbox & Xbox Live, Wii, MMO UPDATE, PS3, DS, Gaming Tournaments/LAN Center Happenings, FPS Console and PC and New Hardware and Accessories Correspondents!

If you want one of these spots, you must do the following!
1) Be able to submit at least once a month (You can submit as often as you like too)
2) A Sample Report (Like a Try-Out)

Tomorrow on MotorCity Mornings

Hey everyone!

I will be on-the-air with Jay and Bill tomorrow morning on Motor City Mornings. So make sure you wakeup early! Jay and Bill are going to form a band and give it a try.. This is going to be funny. I know a lot of you people are going to say, "Why do other shows on 97.1 do gaming topics, when they already have PWNED RADIO?" I will tell you why, gaming is a huge business now and everyone wants a piece of it! Everyone games and anytime I can get more promo for PWNED RADIO, I'm going to do it! Make sure you tune in and show your PWNED support!

Also, I wanted to let you guys and gals know about a cool internet radio station. A lot of local Michigan DJ's and they play some great music. (STOP) Let me ask you this, can I stop using Guys and Gals and just say "Guys"? When I say "Guys" I mean all our fans both male and female. Would that be ok? But anyways, head over to http://beastradio.com and tell Brad I said "Hello"

As always, make sure you spread the word about PWNED RADIO and this blog. I know the show is doing very well in Detroit but believe it or not there are some many Michigan and other gamers that just don't know about us yet! Spread the Word! And go PWN someone!

Important note! All those that received an HD Player for Christmas either an Xbox HD or Toshiba model, return them before the 30 day return policy runs out! Trust me people, I have been a BIG XBOX and HD supporter but read the attached link from Reuters. Looks like the war is over!

But, I wouldn't run out and buy a Blue Ray either!
See, I think both formats will not matter much very soon. Xbox Live is already delivering HD content via XBOX Live and I'm sure Sony PS3 is not far behind. You can download HD TV shows, Movies and Specials now on Xbox Live. I think once they get the release delay addressed, which is when an HD movie is released on DVD rental, you can that day get it on your home system.

Nice thing about Xbox 360 is it doesn't have a built in High Def. player like PS3, just use the Xbox Live feature for HD content, no Disks to worry about losing or damaging. Just make sure you get a large hard drive for that Xbox!

Wanted to let you all know. PWNED RADIO is NOT off the air!
We are just on Hiatus until the NFL playoffs are over and New England wins it all. GOD, I’m so sick of the Lions not being in the post season!
